DE LA SALLE CANLUBANG SIGNS ON WITH SMART.  Smart Chief Wireless Advisor Orlando B. Vea and De La Salle Canlubang Chancellor Dr. Julius B. Maridable shake hands to formalize a partnership under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP).  De La Salle Canlubang joins some 46 ECE school partners of Smart in the unique industry-academe partnership launched in 2003 to help raise the level of technology and engineering education in the country, particularly in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE).

Under the program, engineering students are better prepared for the demands of the telco industry through exposure to the latest wireless technologies via a wireless laboratory set up in the campus, industry trainings and the opportunity to showcase their wireless applications development skills during the SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards that will be held at the SMX Convention Center on March 9.  Also in photo are Smart Network and Platform Services Division Head Mario G.
