Smart, IECEP hold PalaECEpan for engineering students

Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) and the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP), Inc. are jointly hosting the PalaECEpan Quiz Bee during the 6th SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards at the A. Venue  Hall, Makati City on February 5 and 6, 2010.

This is the second year that SMART has tapped the expertise of the professional group in conducting PalaECEpan, which is one of the highlights of the annual awards event that recognizes innovative wireless applications development by partner schools under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP).  

Similar to the quiz bee format, PalaECEpan tests the intellectual prowess of student contestants from SWEEP partner schools on engineering subjects included in the school curriculum as well as courses conducted by SMART and industry experts under the program.  

IECEP has also agreed to accredit the 6th SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards as an activity where participating IECEP members can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) points for the renewal of their professional licences.
