A SMART LAB FOR ANGELES UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION. Officials of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) inaugurate a wireless laboratory under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP). AUF joins some 45 universities nationwide that are members of SWEEP, an industry-academe partnership launched by Smart in 2003 that seeks to help raise the level of technology and engineering education, particularly in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE). Under SWEEP, AUF benefits from hands-on training, the latest industry updates and technology developments via in-house and industry experts, as well as opportunities to showcase innovation in wireless applications development via the annual SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards.
